a lil disappointed

i was hoping for a step by step type of thing in this book. for example in Boog's books (Gentlemen's Script), he had ex's there for you to follow and build your script from start to finish to make it like his... i was hoping for something like that in this book.
it talks alot about the history of graffiti and where it started, etc. shows alot of work by a writer named Aztek (who wrote this book), also shows work from other artists (all over the world). finally at the end of the book comes the part where it teaches you how to do bubble style, wild style, etc... but like i said, it doesn't really show you a good starting point and places for developing.
this book would probaly be good for an already seasoned graf artist, but i wouldn't say it's all that good for someone who's real new to it. my advice for ppl wanting to learn this medium, talk to your local tagger if you can find them that is... i wouldn't really waste the $. sorry i did. didn't teach me anything i didn't already know.

It works great in tandem with the graffiti coloring books. A great resource for enthusiastic teenagers who want to create artwork with graffiti influences.

Awesome !

I was searching for references on graffiti art when I found this book. It was exactly what I was looking for. It explains the step by step process of creating letters and adding design and color. It also has vocabulary definitions for those unfamiliar with the art. Truly a great tool I included in my lesson plans when teaching students about urban art.
