I loved the story line and I loved James Dray

I read this (breathed it in) entirely too quickly. I would give it 5 stars if it could have been lengthier. 16 chapters was just too short. As for content, I loved the story line and I loved James Dray. I can't wait to read more from Bella Johnson!

My 9 year old enjoyed it more than my 6 year old seemed to

This is a cute book about different bugs and garden critters and different adventures they go on. My 9 year old enjoyed it more than my 6 year old seemed to. The only pictures are at the beginning of each chapter . It was easy to download straight to their kindles.

Not all books for kids can keep the attention enough long, at least not in the case of four years old nephew. this one, however "works" of course presentation is as well very important but in my small experience books for children, overall concept and pictures 'makes it or breaks it...' well done!

Rough Start With My Daughter

I got this book to read to my 6 year old daughter. Right away she was scared of the story because it introduces a rattle snake and mosquito characters. She is very much afraid of majority of bugs (not worms, she thinks those are cool) and I tried explaining that they were nice. After a little convincing, I was able to proceed with the story.

The Pros
~ My 6 yr old ended up liking this book.
~ The stories are nice and short. It holds kids attention. I found that even my near 2 year old would sit and listen to me read one of the short stories.
~ The majority of the characters are enjoyable. I found my oldest talking about them after.
~ I like the Just for Fun Activities. It makes reading the book more interactive.

The Negatives
~ Okay, maybe I'm just nitpicking a little bit, but the character of Snarky bothered me. He's grumpy, not snarky. It is revealed why he is like that, but it still bothered me.
~ The Story of Mac Apple also bothered me. He was not introduced in the first story like he should have been. It kind of throws you off.
~ This book needs a few full illustrations. My daughter was asking where the pictures were.

All in all, I am happy that I was able to share this story with my daughter. We both enjoyed it, and I can see myself reading it to her again.

This is Paperback.

The book said it was a Hardcover, but it was paperback, that is my only complaint. This artbook is really good it has triangle x, wasetland, and other artwork from the creators of Highschool of the Dead. This book does not come with the access code and is mostly worthless without it. The item is listed as NEW and we bought it from AMAZON. We are very disappointed.

This book has a huge amount of information in it. The only bad thing is it DOES NOT come with the online resource disk. The disk includes access to the e-book and all of the tracks listed within each chapter. By itself the disk is around $40-$50.

No Access Code!!!

I bought this book at my local textbook store: new, shrink-wrapped, book + 5-cd set, and still didn't receive the access code! AAAAAAAAGGGHHHH! This is so frustrating.
Thanks for listening, people. I've emailed Pearson and am hoping not to have to pay the extra $45 on top of the $106 I've already spent.
